Our Story
My name is Neil Every and I was born and raised in Jersey in the Channel Islands, a tight-knit coastal community with rich history not unlike qathet, but with a distinctly British twist! I’ve always felt at home where land meets sea and stories are passed around like warm bread.
I spent many years in Vancouver’s film and television industry as part of the camera department, later moving into story consulting, screenwriting, and narrative design for video games. Over time, I shifted into marketing, always grounded in one core principle: authentic storytelling.
After nearly two decades of visiting Powell River and the Sunshine Coast, my family and I made this beautiful place our home in 2021. Today, qathet Media combines professional experience with a love of community and place, offering photography and video services inspired by the land, sea, and people of the coast.
